Flawed by Lym Cruz has an engaging story line with relatable characters

Starting anew and away from her past, Melissa is shocked when she meets someone from exactly there, her past.

Andrew is a reminder of her terrible past. A past that she wants to keep there, in her past. So, when Andrew tries to reconnect, she is understandably wary.

But, Andrew has always had a pull on her and it seems that hasn’t changed. Can she trust him with both her secrets and her heart?

Overall, I enjoyed Flawed. The story is interesting and kept me turning the pages.

For me, however, there was a LOT going on. Maybe too much. The amount of issues and trials this couple had to overcome seemed excessive. There was OW/OM drama, parental issues, miscommunications as well as secrets.

Melissa was a strong character but, in my opinion, flighty. On their first meeting, she says that Andrew only wants her for her body. Then, on the second, there is barely a protest even though she doesn’t feel anymore secure with him than the first time.

Flawed has an engaging story line with relatable characters but it was overshadowed by a little too much drama. I am curious to see what this author comes out with next.
