Let me just start by saying that I am ecstatic that Chloe and Sebastian’s story continues in this novella

It started with a kiss. A single kiss that shook me to my core. A kiss to silence me, and a kiss to numb the pain.

I took his hand and in turn, he took me away. I thought when we ran away, we’d never have to look back.

I was wrong.

I think Sebastian knew, and so did I, that he’d be pulled back into this life one day. There was no way we could have gotten our happily ever after. Scars don’t ever fully go away, and this sinful place is etched into our flesh.

I don’t know how I’ll ever forgive him for bringing me back here. Even when he kisses me the way he does… no kiss can take away this pain. He’s still my everything, but I don’t know how we’ll survive this.

A Kiss to Keep is a 15k novellette extension of Chloe and Sebastian’s story, A Kiss to Tell. Although it can be read on its own, it’s recommended you start with A Kiss to Tell.

MY REVIEW

Let me just start by saying that I am ecstatic that Chloe and Sebastian’s story continues in this novella. There was so much left unresolved in the previous book and this gives some closure for me.

It’s been ten years since Chloe and Sebastian left but they are now returning. Something Chloe absolutely does not want. This puts extra strain on this couple’s relationship being that there are also old secrets that are burdening the couple as well.

Sebastian fears losing Chloe if she finds out the most terrible of his secrets. When Chloe demands to know everything, will he unburden himself to the one he loves? And if so, will he lose her forever?

Overall, I’m not the biggest fan of novellas but, since this, for me, is really an extension of A Kiss to Tell, I liked and enjoyed it.

Although this book states that it can be read as a standalone, I personally recommend reading A Kiss to Tell first. It will be a lot more satisfying, informative and engaging that way.

I’m glad Chloe finally stands on her two feet and demands answers from Bastian.

Bastian, strong and brooding as always, wants to keep Chloe safe.

I enjoyed this quick read but a few things are bothering me.

First, why after ten years has Chloe finally had enough? It almost seems too little too late.

Second, Bastian’s capitulation, for me, came too quick after so many years of hiding it from Chloe.

And third, I want more of this couple! I hope in future books, we are able to see and continue their story!

With that being said, this a solid read that I recommend reading along with the first book, A Kiss to Tell.

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
