Our story begins the same as any ill-fated romance. Two households, two families, two species that should never be together.
These are the recipe for tragic, beautiful love, fated to end in flames.
She is my doom. She is my destiny. Unavoidable, impossible to deny, and painful to ignore.
They call me Bastard Prince, a half-breed unworthy of a true title. But I still have to follow the rules. Serve the Blackthorne vampire bloodline.
A shifter and a vampire are forbidden to be together. The law declares it so. But Briar is mine, and I’ll fight family and constitution to the death in order to keep her.
Midnight Prince is the first of an all new series in the Blackthorne Vampires world. It CAN BE READ without reading The Blood Trilogy, but it's recommended to read all three previous books (Blood Captive, Blood Traitor, Blood Heir) to avoid any minor spoilers.

MY REVIEW
Heartless and cruel after heartbreak, Lucas cares for nothing and no one. He surrounds himself with people, but he is alone.
There is a slow build up to this story but there are tons of passion and angst as we explore Lucas’s past. A past where he cared deeply for Briar, a wolf. A wolf that was forbidden to the likes of him. That does not stop him however.
Briar is intrigued by Lucas but knows a relationship between them is not only forbidden but also impossible due to family obligations that she cannot outrun.
Can a forbidden love between a vampire and wolf flourish amidst all the darkness and obligations that surround them? Will love conquer all or will pack and family obligations decimate all
Midnight Prince is heartbreaking and compelling in its entirety
There is a palpable push and pull dynamic between Lucas and Briar. A forbiddeness that that attracts and compels you to read more. Their story is a dark and difficult one.
The intensity of this book kept ratcheting with every moment that passed. I didn’t know if I could take it. Around every corner I was waiting for treachery or deceit. I was waiting for the other proverbial shoe to drop. Eventually, it did and it made my heart drop in turn.
I loved Briar’s fight, her sass and her willingness to defy those that held her back. The way she faced her fears for a true chance at happiness.
I loved exploring and delving into Lucas’s history. In the first three books in the series, I adored him but didn’t enjoy they way his story was headed. At the end, I thought I couldn’t be more heartbroken for him but that is blatantly untrue. His complete story is true heartbreak and it yanked on my heartstrings. This is one alpha that you’ll fall head over heels for.
There is so much going on in this world. There is never a dull moment. A compelling, angsty and sexy read that has me needing and wanting more.
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
