It was the worst day of my life.
I know most people say that about something obviously horrific—a first heartbreak, the discovery of a fatal illness, or the funeral of a loved one—but my situation was a little different.
Not only was it my wedding day, but it was also the day I chose to die.
Two men. The first, my Master, my captor, and my impossible love. The other, his brother, a mafioso I was meant to ensnare and ruin.
If I had any hope of living a normal life reunited with my family, I had to make a choice.
End my old life as I knew it and start fresh, or take down the monsters that hunted me and haunted my Master.
In the end, the decision was never really mine to make. Because Alexander Davenport would come to claim me even in death.

MY REVIEW
Enamoured in the second and final book in the Enslaved Duet.
Cosima and Alexander as well as their journey is compelling. Their fight to be together is not an easy one and they must fight tooth and nail to protect and keep what they have. Will it be enough? Or will outside forces tear them apart for good?
For me, this second instalment slowed down and our main couple, for the first little bit, are separated. During this part of the story, I found it lagged. There was a lot of tell but not a lot of show. Regardless of this, it is a testament to the author’s writing that I was still invested in this story.
There are so many twists and turns. Each twist and turn, in and of itself, is riveting and had me anxious and wondering what would happen next. When put all together, however, the story, for me, seemed overdone and disjointed.
I must say, however, that I LOVED Cosima and Alexander not to mention Dante. Mmmmm! What a man! Seriously, I can’t wait for Dante’s story to be told. He is strong, loving, caring and oh so protective.
Cosima and Alexander throughout the story had amazing chemistry. They were simply on fire. Cosima proved her strength and worth in this novel. She no longer submits to everyone’s whim. She stands up for who and what she wants. She is aware of her worth and demands the respect she deserves.
We finally get to see a somewhat softer side to Alexander but make no mistake he is still as ruthless and cunning as ever.
Overall, I enjoyed Enamoured. However, I found that it was bogged down by far too many characters and a contrived plot.
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
