ADD TO GOODREADS

He’s her darkest fantasy. . . After years of struggling, Haven Daly has finally accepted that she’s nuttier than a fruitcake. Why else would she see visions of a beautiful but tormented male every night . . . and actually believe she can talk to him, even feel his touch?  But thanks to those dream journeys, she can paint images nobody else on earth can duplicate. In each brush stroke, she captures the blatant masculinity and raw desire in his eyes that promise he’s coming for her…and soon.   She’s the light that keeps him going. . . Quade Kayrs has already suffered a lifetime of pain and torture. Completely isolated, he kept his sanity  thanks to one beautiful female, a vision with kind emerald eyes. In the end, her soft voice led him out of hell. Now, naked and alone, he’s in a strange world that bears little resemblance to the one he left behind. All he knows is Haven.  All he wants is Haven.  His final mission? To protect her from the evil hunting them both—whether she likes it or not . . .

MY REVIEW

I have been impatiently waiting for Quade’s book. His story from the beginning seemed like it would be compelling and somewhat emotional.

Quade is relieved that it is finally time to let go after centuries of suffering in the hellish dimension he has been in. After so long, he knows nothing but duty, barely remembering friends, loved ones and family.

Knowing there are no more portals or get out of jail free cards for him, he has come to accept his fate.

In dreams he finds surcease with a woman he does not know but is compelled toward.

Haven has been dreaming of a man for years. So much so that she believes she might be crazy. It doesn’t help that she feels inexorably drawn to both him and places she has never been or seen before. She follows this compulsion and realizes that Quade is flesh and bone and that they are both in danger.

After Haven meets Quade, she still is pulled toward different dimensions throughout her dreams and is still being inexorably pulled toward one portal. A portal she is scared to go through. Especially since Quade cannot follow.

What is behind that final portal? Will they survive long enough to explore the love that they could have?

This was an action-filled read and a story that kept me on my toes. I loved Quade and Haven together.

From the beginning I was thrust right into the action and adventure. It kept me on my toes from one minute to the next and I reveled in the mounting tension leading to the final battle with Ulric.

I loved Quade and Haven together. I had been waiting for their story and I can say that I’m quite satisfied with the result.

The saga continues as we get ever closer to that final battle. I cannot wait for more.

I received an ARC via NetGalley of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
