Q: Where did your inspiration for Breakdown come from?
A: BREAKDOWN was inspired by my personal world and culture. Each of the core characters was created from an aspect of my personality or a facet of my background.
Q: When you first set out to write, were you always aware that your novel would have a dark connotation to it?
A: Absolutely! Within that darkness is purity and honesty, and I couldn't create the world of Perversion Records without these qualities.
Q: How long did it take you to write this novel?
A: The characters lived in my mind long before I set out to put them and their journeys on the page. But the writing process was about three months.
Q: Do you have any books that are unpublished?
A: Yes. The next Perversion Records novel, BEAT DROP, is waiting in the wings. I'm also excited to share that I am releasing an edgy, sexy standalone titled HEROES & GODS in October 2019!
Q: Your first book baby is out in the world. What are you feeling right now?
A: Proud. I truly am proud that this book is acclaimed and appreciated. It's a rather personal book and so I feel that it's a reflection of me.
Q: Are you happy with the response to your book?
A: I am.
Q: Is there anything you would do different next time.
A: Not particularly.
Q: What research did you have to do in order to write this book? Is there anything that you were surprised about?
A: I researched the inner workings of hip-hop entertainment. And, of course, I researched Atlanta. I'm not from the area, so it was a wonderful experience to immerse myself in the Big Peach.
Q: What was the hardest part of writing this book?
A: The most difficult part was writing without reservation and a filter.
Q: What type of book do you read in your spare time?
A: I enjoy literary fiction.
Q: What’s the most difficult thing about writing characters from the opposite sex?
A: It's not necessarily difficult for me, but instead challenging. I welcome the challenge of exploring the minds of men whose backgrounds and motivations are aligned with the men I create on the page.
Q: Where are you from?
A: America.
Q: Now that you have published your first book, what goals do you hope to achieve with your next endeavours?
A: I hope to find recognition with my next releases and to continue to publish memorable books.
Q: Is there any insight you can give us on your next WIP and when you expect it to be published?
A: My next release is an all-new standalone set in the NHL—a world of rivalry and infamy, of sex and possession, of heroes and gods. Look for HEROES & GODS in October 2019!
Atticus Creed saved my life. His voice talked me down. His lyrics stripped me bare. His tattoos against my hidden scars made me feel beautiful. In turn, I wrecked him with a love that exposed his soul and lies that called to his vilest demons.
We were innocent then.
I’m not a broken girl anymore. Now I’m the woman who reigns over the corrupt record label he abandoned, and he’s a tortured musician who wants retribution as viciously as I want another taste of his lips. Inevitably, he will crash in my arms, and I will burn in his.
Depravity is all we know. It’s in the air we breathe, it’s in our sweat, it’s the music we make.
An unforgettably searing and unapologetically honest romance about enemies, lovers, and the music that binds them.
Warning: This book contains adult language and subject matter including graphic violence and explict sex that may be disturbing for some readers. This book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Praise for her writing describes it as gritty and phenomenal.
